Photos fired in glass are beautiful, long-lasting, and have an air of timelessness about them. Come and create your own images, decorate them with glass “framing” and hand them down for generations, or just make a fun, funky design that will make you smile every time you see it.
Photos can be placed on glass and fired in – with the right knowledge and equipment. Learn how it all works and create your own heirloom images in this class! Students will make two 4×4 pieces (coaster size) and one larger panel or plate by soaking the images off their backing and placing them on the glass to dry. The larger piece will have your image centered in the middle, with plenty of room for decorating the edges with glass accent pieces. This class will also include info on how the process works, both the art and science of printing photos on glass.
You will receive detailed instructions about how to send your images for printing before class, so registration cut off is a week before the class session. You will be able to fuse three images, which can all be the same, or all different photos. Imagine the possibilities, and start going through your photos for the perfect image on glass!
